"You're killing me, Smalls!": "Sandlot" actors meet oblivious fan wearing movie t-shirt
Two stars of the beloved film "The Sandlot" thought they came across a big fan on the streets of New York.
NEW YORK (WTHR) - Two stars of the beloved film "The Sandlot" thought they came across a big fan on the streets of New York.
Boy, were they wrong.
Actors Patrick Renna and Tom Guiry, who portrayed "Ham" and "Smalls" in the 1993 coming-of-age flick, spotted a fan in Manhattan wearing a t-shirt showing a scene featuring Renna and his famous line from the film, "You're killing me, Smalls!"
The actors posed for a picture, with current Renna smiling right next to the screenprinted image of his younger self and the "fan" was apparently none the wiser.
Said nice shirt to this dude walking by us and he had no idea what we were talking about. Thought I would capture the moment.

"Said nice shirt to this dude walking by us and he had no idea what we were talking about. Thought I would capture the moment," Renna tweeted.
If he wanted to get in on the joke, the young fan will have to turn to video, as he missed a two-day re-release of the movie in theaters by one day.
