Samira Hardcastle revealed that Audrey Hale was deeply affected by the death of Sydney Sims who passed away in an accident in 2022.
Sydney’s grieving twin sister Taylor Sims who is 28 years old, has since lashed out at “disgusting” connections between the tragedy and Audrey’s shooting spree, as per Daily Mail.
‘Kindly don’t attach such a nasty, disgusting tragedy to my sister’s name. This is sick and, Please keep my sister out of it.’ Taylor said.

Former classmates and instructors of Nashville shooter, Audrey Hale, told reporters that Hale was devastated by the death of friend Sydney Shere Sims, which ended up taking a great emotional toll.

Hardcastle who was a classmate of Audrey and Sims in middle and high school said, “After the tragic death of Sydney, Audrey Hale was heartbroken … I just feel like she took it in a much different way than any of us did. Hale was uploading something about Sydney almost daily.”
Nashville shooter Audrey Hale had been left ‘heartbroken’ after Sydney Sims, a basketball player in the same team as the 28-year-old. Sims died after a head on crash crash in Nashville last year and Audrey had a crush on her.
Hardcastle further added “What I knew of her was more admiring. Maybe even infatuation. That’s specifically who she looked up to. She saw Hale last time when she attended a taping of a radio show of Aveieranna Patton who was her friend.”

Patton was the last person whom Audrey Hale contacted before the shooting spree. She sent her a message saying, “This is the last goodbye from my side. I love you … See you again in another life.”
Hale described Patton as, “The most beautiful person I have ever seen and known in my whole life. My family is not aware of what I’m about to do. .”
Hardcastle revealed that Audrey was a “tomboy” back in school time but did not appear to transition until her adulthood.
Hardcastle said, she didn’t know about Hale’s romantic relationship with Sydney Sims.
Maria Colomy, who is a former instructor at the Nossi College of Art and Design in Nashville, taught Hale as an adult. She said, ‘his transition started at the same time when Audrey was grieving the loss of a romantic partner. Hale was openly grieving on social media, and she announced that she wants to be addressed as a male.’
