CLEMSON, S.C. (WTHR) — Powerful storms passing through South Carolina Monday sent a huge tent — and two people holding onto it — flying.
A tent outside the Esso Club Sports Bar was struggling to stand against strong winds. The tent flew up, and a closer look at the video of the incident shows people being lifted into the air along with it.
Samuel Forster was one of the workers trying to hold the tent down when the gusts sent him into the air. He came crashing down onto the roof of the building and hit the gutter.
He said he's lucky it wasn't worse. He walked away without any broken bones, but did need stitches onhis left eye.
Another girl was also injured in the incident after a table hit her flew up and hit her while she went airborne holding onto the tent.
