Triangle Strategy Producer's Q&A Reveals Length, DLC and Difficulty Details

Triangle Strategy producers Tomoya Asano and Yasuaki Arai recently started a new radio show with Square Enix, where they most notably answered questions on the game, such as DLC plans, game difficulty and how long it takes to beat the JRPG and reach one of its endings.

The first episode of the SQEX Asano Development Teams Radio featured Tomoya Asano, Live A Live producer Takashi Tokita, and Triangle Strategy producer Yasuaki Arai. The trio discussed upcoming Square Enix and Asano produced games including Triangle Strategy. They most notably teased that Square Enix plans to release many more HD-2D games and remakes.

Tomoya Asano, Takashi Tokita, and Yasuaki Arai answered a few questions about Triangle Strategy midpoint through the show. Asano most notably answered fans asking if Triangle Strategy will have DLC.

Starting the 31:50 time stamp of the radio show, the trio shortly chatted about Hard Mode difficulty in Triangle Strategy, mentioning it’s highly difficult so it’s best to play in Normal . Unless you’re really confident in your tactical RPG skills. They also brought up DLCs and why Triangle Strategy in fact won’t have any. Lastly, they explained the game’s length.

Triangle Strategy’s Hard Mode is for veterans

Producer Yasuaki Arai explained: “Hard Mode is really for those looking for a solid challenge. I could only clear the game on Normal myself”.

Asano added: “Hard Mode is for veteran tactical RPG players, those who are very confident in their skills”.

Asano also mentioned he’s pretty happy to see players on Twitter struggling with the demo and expressing joy when clearing it on Hard Mode.

Why Triangle Strategy has no DLCs

Tomoya Asano: “I don’t have any DLCs planned for Triangle Strategy. I usually don’t do any for my games. If we have time to make DLC, then I’d rather start working on another game”.

How long it takes to beat Triangle Strategy? Game length revealed

Tomoya Asano: “It took me around 30 hours to reach one of the endings in my test run”.

Triangle Strategy has several endings, so fully clearing the game might take us much longer. We’ll know for sure when the game launches worldwide on March 4, 2022, on Nintendo Switch. You can watch the radio show below.
