The New 'Tomb Raider' Poster Is Getting Mocked for a Photoshop Fail
While over-photoshopping can often have some pretty comical results, it's important to remember it stems from an industry that believes female celebs look their best when they've been airbrushed into oblivion. While "Neckgate" is destined to be more meme fodder than anything else, several actresses, musicians, and models have taken action against over-photoshopping, for example, when Meghan Trainor pulled her video for "Me Too" when she saw her waist had been thinned.
Tomb Raider is scheduled to be released on March 16. Vikander has described the movie as a prequel, of sorts. "They told me they were doing the film based on the reboot of the game from 2013," Vikander said, according to PopCrush. "That is more of an origin story. You get into an emotional aspect of getting to know Lara hopefully in an in-depth way. So I hope that doing a film of the rebooted game will bring something new and fresh that’ll stand on its own two legs."
We don't know how the reboot will stack up against the original films, but it does seem safe to bet the movie will feature Vikander's neck extending only a normal, human length.
