St Patrick's Day Events for the Whole Family

A day when everybody is just a little bit Irish!  Below is a list of events happening locally including arts and crafts, hunts, parades, a festive 5K and more to help you celebrate the day of Green!  Enjoy!

   March 3 | 11AM - Stamping Shamrocks ~ We are stamping shamrocks with an interesting veggie today - It’s best to wear an old shirt!  Sarasota Children's Garden. Included with price of admission.

   March 7 | 5:30PM - Kid-cuterie Workshop, St. Patrick's Themed Board ~ Does your child enjoy being creative with food and helping make appetizers? This workshop will give hands on instruction to create a festive themed charcuterie board the students will feel proud to have made and take home.  $55/pp includes a Keepsake Board and Completed Charcuterie to bring home.  Ages 6 to 16.

   March 8 | 10AM - Storytime on the Green ~ This month’s storytime will celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with stories. Free

   March 11 | 10AM - Annual Leprechaun Hunt ~ Come find the lost gold hidden in the garden and trade it in for a sweet St. Patrick’s Day reward!  Sarasota Children's Garden. Included with price of admission.

   March 11 | 11:30AM - Lakewood Ranch Irish Celtic Festival ~ Enjoy traditional Celtic food, craft beers, hard ciders and GREAT entertainment! The kids will have a blast too with our face painting, park fun, the annual Lucky Dog Parade and more!  Greenbrook Adventure Park.  Free admission / $5 parking.  

   March 11 | 12PM - Pot of Gold St. Patrick's Day Celebration ~ A leprechaun dropped his gold all around the Palmetto Library. Can you beat all the games and win back the pieces? Food, music, and games will be available. Palmetto Library. Free.

   March 11 | 12PM - Lucky Charm Market at Waypoint ~ Come out to shop, relax, stay for lunch and enjoy a beautiful day with us!  Enjoy live music, local vendors, free kid's activities, a book exchange and more. Free admission.

   March 12 | 10AM - St Patrick's Day at the Meadows Farmers Market ~ Bring the family and your fur babies dressed in green to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with food, music, art and fun!  Free admission.

   March 12 | 1PM - Sarasota Polo Club St Patrick's Day Celebration ~ Join us for a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Sunday Polo with exciting polo action, an opening parade, a live national anthem, half-time entertainment, food, drinks and traditional divot-stomping. 

   March 12 | 2PM - Lucky Painted Rocks ~ Come to participating Michaels Stores and celebrate St Patrick's Day with a free painted rock.  All supplies included!

   March 12 | 3PM - Happy-Go-Lucky Party ~ Grab your friends and come celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Party Palace style! There will be fun hair extensions to keep, makeup, crafts, and oh, did we mention LOTS of glitter? Our fairies feel so LUCKY they get to celebrate with you.  Party Palace. Tickets are $49.99.

   March 12 | 4PM - Anna Maria Island St Patrick's Day Parade ~ Join in for this annual tradition celebrating St Patrick's Day! Free

   March 15 | 4PM - Canvas Kids: The Luck of the Irish ~ Learn about Irish folklore and make your own leprechaun trap. Ages 6-12, with a guardian.  South Manatee Library. Free.

   March 15 | 6:30PM - Pre-St Patrick's Day Alien Green Out ~ FREE GREEN Pizza, Cotton Cany & Soda 1st Hour if you wear a Green Shirt!  Astro Skate of Bradenton.  $7 admission + skate rental.

   March 17 | 10AM - Count the Shamrocks ~ Count all of the hidden shamrocks in the garden to get your “Rainbow Seeds'' sweet treat bag along with a Leprechaun coloring sheet by the picnic tables. Sarasota Children's Garden. Included with price of admission.

   March 17 | 1PM - St Patrick's Day at McGrath's Irish Ale House ~ Enjoy live music, Irish food, entertainment for the kids, 50/50 raffles and giveaways, live performance by Finnegan Academy of Irish Dance and more.  Free admission.

   March 17 | 6PM - Main Street Live ~ Celebrate St Paddy's Day edition: there will be live music, vendors, food trucks, children's activities and more.  Downtown Bradenton.  Free.

   March 18 | 8AM - Lucky Leprechaun 5K ~ The 5th Annual Lucky Leprechaun 5k will be a festive and fun holiday event for the whole family! Lace up your lucky running shoes and join us in March 2023 with a lakeside sunrise run. Grab a celebratory green beer and enter the post-race St. Paddy's Costume Contest for a special prize. Cost starting at $35.

   March 18-19 | 10AM ~ Shamrocks and Shenanigans Weekend at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival ~ Visit our Village to be transported to Ireland, where you can find local vendors and activities for all ages. Traditional music and dance will get you moving. A kilt, anyone? To find out who can wear it best, enter the Men in Kilts competition. The largest shenanigans gathering in Florida occurs this weekend.
