Shorter driver shaft | Golf Monthly

I am thinking of ordering an 80g tour shaft off ping and having it shortened to the the length of the aldila, I just prefer the heavier weight I think, would like a slightly higher launch too but still low spin so always looking. This cost me 40 quid for the shaft and adaptor and the results have been great, working on hitting it a bit higher but don't really need to, just trying to keep the options open, only been in the driver since last week so still adjusting.
