“Rigged a** product” – Social media SLAMS NFL officials for the horrible call that cost Titans a playoff spot

The Tennessee Titans failed to clinch a playoff spot this season after they lost to their division rivals Jaguars in the week 18 game. While there are many faults in the Titans’ game, they got absolutely screwed by the refs to close out their disappointing season.

The Titans were coming off of a great season. Although they couldn’t win anything big last season, they still had a very good outing as they managed to clinch the No.1 seed in the AFC. They fell to the eventual AFC Champions, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round. The Titans had an advantage of playing in a week AFC South division, but not anymore.

The Indianapolis Colts are dismantled, and the Texans are irrelevant, but the Jacksonville Jaguars have emerged like a phoenix from the ashes to dethrone the Titans and crown themselves as the new AFC South champions. Doug Pederson turned this franchise around in just one year and helped them to win their second ever AFC South title. However, in the last game they did get some help from the refs to screw over the Tennessee football team.

The Titans and the Jaguars were locked in a battle for the throne of the AFC South division. The Titans were on the verge of the playoffs as they were holding on to a 3-point lead deep in the fourth quarter. During the final minutes of the regulation time, the Titans had the ball on their own 35-yard line and were trying to extend their lead. But the Jaguars, Joshua Dobbs, and the NFL officials all had a different plan.

Jaguars DB Rayshawn Jenkins forced a fumble which was recovered and returned for a touchdown by their star linebacker, Josh Allen. That scoop and score was the dagger in the poor offensive showdown. The call was reviewed and despite some clear evidence that Dobbs’ arm was moving forward, the officials decided to stick with their original call and confirmed the touchdown.

In a Pats game this year they called this exact play as incomplete. Now they rule it a fumble.

No consistency lol.

Incomplete in my non biased opinion

Get this crew out of the playoffs! One of many missed calls including the missed offsides that just happened.

— Matt Cooksey (@mattaboutopera) January 8, 2023

That was clearly a forward pass who reviewed that Ray Charles

Fans on social media did not react to the call positively. They believe that in a game of this magnitude, the refs could’ve taken more than 10 seconds to review their horrible call.

Forward pass is called a fumble. Ghost false start calls. Ah right, I remember why I don't watch the NFL. Rigged ass product through bias officiating. Fuck off.

That was Brady that would of been an incomplete pass

— Ryan Jennings (@Utrocky) January 8, 2023

No way that is a fumble. Rigged system

— James (@jwcaines) January 8, 2023

If that was Mahomes it would’ve been an incomplete pass

— BengalsHead (11-4) (@BengalsHead) January 8, 2023

The refs 😒
Im sick of refs deciding games

Even some other team’s fans agreed that this was not a fumble, but were happy anyway. Usually, at this time of the year, the Jags fans would be doing mock drafts, but this year, they are going to the postseason, thanks to the genius of Doug Pederson.

We needs jags in playoff idc

Am I the only person who didn't think that was the right call in the 4th Qtr of @Titans at @Jaguars? I was rooting for the Jaguars. But that sure seemed like an incomplete pass not a fumble. I imagine Titans fans are PISSED. So from the other side, still wtf?

— Jen W (@jdub047) January 8, 2023

Chargers fan here. That sure looked a forward pass to me.

— Kai MacMahon (@kaimac) January 8, 2023

Rams fan- absolutely forward pass both in real time and slo mo…

— Nick Wynne (@nwynne1) January 8, 2023

I hate Tennessee but that’s a forward pass. Or at least that’s how they have called it until this point.

— banshee 911 (@911Banshee) January 8, 2023

Cowboy fan is this was a fwd pass. 🤷🏻‍♂️

— Car Me (@CarlosNj22) January 8, 2023

If it’s Brady or Rodgers that’s a forward pass

— JF1 SZN (@MoneyyJay_) January 8, 2023

Definitely an incomplete pass.. refs suck

The 9-8 Jaguars are fourth seeded and will have at least one playoff game. They will likely be hosting either the Los Angeles Chargers or the Baltimore Ravens in the wildcard weekend.
