“Pratt didn’t try to play a character”: Robert Pattinson’s Stunning Performance in Hayao Miyazaki’s Latest Film Makes Fans Throw Shade at Chris Pratt’s Mario

Robert Pattinson is undoubtedly one of the best actors in the world, who has accomplished a lot in his career. After all, his career didn’t necessarily have the best of starts but he has improved a lot over the years thanks to his wide variety of roles. This includes even his voice acting role in Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film.

Robert Pattinson’s most infamous role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise remains a black mark on his career, as many labeled him as the ‘sparkly vampire’ who couldn’t act to save his life. Thankfully, the general perception has changed a lot.

While speaking to IndieWire, voice director Michael Sinterniklaas admitted that he didn’t think Pattinson would be good for the role. Pattison was fully prepared as he instantly nailed the role before auditions even started.

When Pattinson’s name came up. I thought he’s a fine actor but there was nothing in his body of work to indicate that he could do this crazy thing.

When he came to our studio in L.A.,” Sinterniklaas continued, “he was like, ‘OK, I’ve been thinking about this role and I recorded some stuff. Do you want to hear it?’ And he whips out his iPhone and plays some stuff that he’s just been doing in the Memos app and it was already the voice. I was like, ‘Oh, bingo, you’ve already got the character.’”

Needless to say, Robert Pattison has convinced the whole world that not only is he a great actor in live-action movies, but he is incredibly talented as a voice actor as well – further opening up avenues for him in the future.

Robert Pattison’s Role In The Boy and the Heron Made Fans Make Fun Of Chris Pratt’s Mario

The Boy and the Heron has already come out and fans are enjoying what might be Hayao Miyazaki’s last film. Robert Pattinson’s stellar performance in his role as Gray Heron has truly made fans fall in love with him all over again.

Eh, arguably Pattenson is also a MUCH better actor than Pratt, even w/o the VA roles. So I wouldn’t, personally, call them half assed.

I'm going to be completely honest I think its really lame to imply that Chris Pratt is "half-assing" his performances just because he doesn't have range. Especially when no one would be saying that if it wasn't for Mario. People wouldnt hate his Garfield voice if he wasnt Mario.

I genuinely hope Chris Pratt keeps getting big voice acting roles and just keeps using his regular voice

Pratt didn’t try to play a character he just played Chris Pratt and it pisses me off so bad

in one fell swoop robert pattinson has simultaneously crushed the rhetoric of "celebrity actors cannot be good voice actors" and also proved just how half-assed chris pratt's recent performances are
