Overwatch 2 Will Apparently Feature Battle Pass, As per Dataminers

Dataminers have already started digging into the Overwatch 2 beta codes, and they have discovered some interesting information, including the existence of Battle Pass!

Overwatch has been out for nearly 6 years now, but the game has never received a Season Pass or Battle Pass system from Blizzard. Instead, the developers only followed the traditional way of selling loot boxes and announcing new thematic events every now and then with new cosmetics.

However, it seems with the Battle Pass becoming a huge trend for multiplayer games, Blizzard is preparing to shake things up a little bit, and deliver a more rewarding progression system to the game.

Overwatch 2 Will Apparently Feature Progression-Based Battle Pass

According to some leaks from dataminers on Twitter, there are some lines of codes in the Beta version that confirm the existence of a Battle Pass system.

Other than that, it seems like the game will have a pretty different progression system in the PvE section, where players will be able to unlock new heroes and get multiple progression points such as Tier Progression, Hero Progression, and Role Progression.

Moreover, the dataminers even managed to leak the title screen of the beta version, which you can check out down below.

As we get closer to the launch date of the Beta version, more leaks will probably appear on the internet about the overall gameplay systems and the significant changes compared to the original Overwatch.

Overwatch 2 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The release date is yet to be revealed, but we do know that the game will not come out this year.
