“Nothing can break my spirit”: Luffy Goes Head to Head With Vice Admiral Smoker in a Fanmade One Piece Season 2 Trailer
After looking at the consecutive success of Netflix in the realm of live-action adaptations of popular anime series, fans are excited to see what the platform has in store for the next season of One Piece live-action adaptation. The second season was immediately announced by Netflix following the triumph of its first season.
Following the timeline of the manga and the anime, the series will witness the Straw Hat Pirates entering the Grand Line and making their way toward Alabasta, where they will not only encounter new members for their crew but also have to fight some of the most dangerous antagonists in One Piece.
However, the problem is that neither Netflix nor the creators of One Piece’s live-action adaptation have given any update regarding the release of the second season. Fans have been eagerly waiting for a trailer or a teaser for the series and in the midst of all this, a One Piece fan has made their own version of the One Piece Live-Action season 2 trailer and it is spot on.
Fan-Made Trailer of One Piece Live-Action Season 2 is On Point
A YouTube Channel named Darth Trailer has recently shared its own version of the trailer for the One Piece live-action adaptation and it has become increasingly viral on the platform. The trailer brilliantly captures the essence of One Piece live-action adaptation and how the events will unfold in the second season.
Although the trailer includes scenes from the first season, the voice dubbing and the placement of the scenes make it look like an entirely different scenario where Captain Smoker the White Hunter is on his way to capture Luffy who recently earned the status of a recognizable Pirate in the One Piece world.

The trailer also shows how the second season will help in the character development of other Straw Hat members like Zoro, Nami, Sanji, and Usopp. While it did not put much focus on the events of the Alabasta Saga, it did show a glimpse of what it could look like.
Though the fan-made trailer is amazing and is being loved by fans, it is not the real thing and there are still no updates about the release of the second season. Although the star of the series Mackenyu who portrays Roronoa Zoro recently gave some updates of the filming of the second season of One Piece live-action, no concrete date or timeline has been set yet.
Smoker vs Luffy in One Piece Live-Action Season 2
Smoker the White Hunter was first presented as a captain in Loguetown, where he made it his mission to catch Luffy, and was subsequently raised to the rank of commodore after the events in the Alabasta Kingdom. Smoker can be viewed as the primary adversary of the Loguetown Arc because of his activities against Luffy at Loguetown.
Although he came dangerously close to capturing Luffy, his father, Monkey D. Dragon, intervened to save him. The fight between Luffy and Smoker is an interesting one as it will be the first time, Luffy will encounter a Logia-type Devil Fruit user who won’t be affected by his punches at all.

The second season is much awaited not only because of the fight between Luffy and Smoker but because it will also introduce two new members of the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy’s brother Ace, his father Monkey D. Dragon, Crocodile, and Vivi. The season will also see Luffy’s first defeat against an antagonist in One Piece.
