Need A New TV Show? Have You Seen Tabatha's Salon Takeover?

During this last season of "Top Chef", I often noticed "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" advertised down in the corner of the screen, but I had somehow ignored this new Bravo show--until a marathon of episodes came on when I was recovering from my cold.

The show is kind of like "Hell's Kitchen" meets real-life salons. This stern, scowling salon guru, Tabatha Coffey (who was on the show "Shear Genius", which I also somehow never watched), marches into salons that are in trouble for various reasons and often on the verge of going out of business. She puts the owner and employees into boot-camp mode, showing them everything they're doing wrong and attempting to whip them into shape and save the salon. Sometimes it works, sometimes it goes very badly.

Tabatha inspects the premises and busts hairstylists on their raunchy hygenic oversights, like uncleaned brushes and wads of hair trapped under their chairs. She even found an empty beer bottle at one stylist's station.

She scolds salon owners who are lazy, gossipy, stubborn, immature, bad with money. Sometimes they crack under the pressure and curse her out. Drama ensues.
