Right after My Hero Academia episode 106 (season 5 episode 18) aired in Japan, the Japanese Twitter account for the anime announced a special YouTube stream for World Heroes Mission, and it will even feature Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki.

My Hero Academia 2021 Ultra Summer Special stream explained

The 2021 Ultra Summer Special is an exclusive stream celebrating the released of World Heroes Mission, the next My Hero Academia movie, coming to Japanese theaters on August 6. The movie has no release date planned outside Japan yet. Just like all the previous movies, it’s a standalone, original story supervised by MHA‘s mangaka, Kōhei Horikoshi.

The stream is also happening in order to thank fans, as a replacement of the various delays and reports the My Hero Academia aime is going hough. Several shows in Japan are getting delays right now due to the Olympics. Lastly, the stream will also celebrate the climax and ending of the Endeavor Agency Arc in the anime.

Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki’s voice actors will appear as guests

The My Hero Academia 2021 Ultra Summer Special stream will be held to celebrate the release of the movie in Japan and is happening right after its release, on August 7, at 4:30 AM EST. Click here for a countdown and timezone conversion for other countries.

The stream will feature some of the main cast of the series as well: Daiki Yamashita (Deku), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Bakugo), and Yuki Kaij (Todoroki). It’s supposed to be around one hour long. Needless to say, this will be in Japanese and there won’t be English subs.

Personally speaking, I don’t think we should see any big announcements coming in this stream. But it’ll definitely be worthwhile to watch it as long as you’re an MHA fan or like the seiyuu.
