MGM, Wynn resorts in Las Vegas to temporarily close – WSOC TV
LAS VEGAS — MGM and Wynn resorts in Las Vegas will close amid concerns about the coronavirus.
MGM Resorts will close its Las Vegas properties Tuesday. Casino and hotel operations will cease at midnight Monday.
“We will reopen our resorts as soon as it is safe to do so,” Jim Murren, CEO, said in a statement.
Wynn Las Vegas and Encore will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday for at least two weeks, officials said. Opening will be reevaluated at that time.
In order to keep our employees and guests safe, we have decided to close Wynn Las Vegas and Encore on Tuesday, March 17, at 6 pm. We anticipate that we will be closed for two weeks, after which we will evaluate the situation. Visit for regular updates.
