MAPPA is Reportedly Working on Vinland Saga Season 2

Recently, a leak surfaced on the internet stating that MAPPA is working on Season 2 of Vinland Saga. Well, here’s everything you need to know about it.

Vinland Saga anime is based on Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura. WIT Studio, the same animation studio that worked on the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, released Season 1 of Vinland Saga in December 2019.

Of course, the anime community very well knows the curse with anime adaptations of historical manga. For instance, fans are still waiting for a decent Berserk and Kingdom anime. However, Season 1 of Vinland Saga broke through those curses and gave us incredible animation, story, and character development. In fact, for some people, it’s one of the best anime series of 2019.

Leak: MAPPA Has Picked Up Vinland Saga Season 2

It’s been more than two years since we’ve received Season 1 of the incredible Vinland Saga. And fans are still desperately waiting to learn anything about the following season. Well, it’s hard to say when we’ll get an official announcement on Season 2. However, according to a report from Anime Hype on Twitter, MAPPA has picked up the next season of Vinland Saga from Wit Studio. The tweet also states that we’ll get a new PV for the anime soon.

According to the report, the core staff of the first season will still work on Season 2. But we can’t be sure about the studio shift or the team until we hear something official.

That said, if the leak is true, then MAPPA would be working on Vinland Saga, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Hell’s Paradise. And obviously, a single studio working on several massive projects at once is something that fans notice. So, it’s no wonder the community went on Twitter to express their feelings after the leak.

Hopefully the animators at Mappa are doing well and are healthy, thankful for them giving us their amazing content like jjk aot csm etc.🙏🏾
