Local addiction treatment center celebrates those in recovery – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — Friday was a day of celebration for dozens of people in addiction recovery.

The Blanchard Institute hosted its annual Recovery Awareness Day, where speakers discussed the latest in the addiction treatment field.

It also celebrated people that are in recovery and who it hopes to inspire.

“So I think having events like this, where you put everything forward and front and center, and you get it out in the open,” said Rich Jones, the chief clinical officer at Youturn Health. “It’s important to connect with people so they know there’s a way out.”

The Blanchard Institute is also hosting a free family support group and a family workshop in August. It’ll be on Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m. and Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at its Charlotte and Lake Norman locations. An RSVP is required by Aug. 9; click here for more.
