He may have started his career as a street musician, but Lil Frosh is on the path towards reaching the pinnacle of his career. The self-styled “Omo Ologo” constantly dishes out music in his indigenous language but it is bumped to by several people across Nigeria. Just mention songs like Life of the Party and Like Dat and you know you are guaranteed to dance all through.

Lil Frosh (real name: Sanni Goriola Wausiu) was born on 14 June 1998 in Lagos State. Although he was born in Lagos State, he hails from Ogun State.
Lil Frosh had his primary and secondary education in Lagos State.
Career
Lil Frosh is one of the few musicians who came to the limelight in Nigeria through social media. He became known when his Instagram videos with singer Zinolesesky made waves on social media.

Lil Frosh’s songs are interwoven in the indigenous Yoruba language, which gives him a sense of uniqueness. He developed his craft and focused more on incorporating slang from the streets into his songs. He released a freestyle in 2019 called Sonto Poilo Firi Yahoo, which received many reposts and led to several celebs sharing the one-minute freestyle videos on their Instagram accounts.
His freestyle facilitated his ascension to becoming one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising rappers. Later, he could be seen performing in several freestyle videos with his friend and accomplished singer Zinoleesky, who is currently signed to Marlian Records.
Lil Frosh was subsequently contacted by Small Doctor to appear in the remix of a song, just as the street lingo “Firi Yo” became popular and was trending. Lil Frosh’s fan base increased when the remix was published, and he was eager for greater success as he was never seen unwinding.
On 26 October 2019, Davido was spotted promoting Lil Frosh as the newest artist to be signed to Aloma Music Worldwide, which is owned by his Personal Assistant, Aloma, and is a record label that is closely affiliated with Davido Music Worldwide.
Lil Frosh was previously signed to AMW/DMW, under which he dropped Fifty and Kolere Body, featuring DMW act, Mayorkun.

Controversies
Lil Frosh has also had his fair share of controversies. In October 2020, an allegation of domestic violence was levelled against him on Twitter. The allegations were made by the manager of his ex-girlfriend, Gift Camille, whose real name is Ekeoghene Iyomaterie.
Camille’s manager alleged that the singer had been physically abusing her, showing pictures of her swollen face online, which he claimed was due to the beating she had received from Lil Frosh. Lil Frosh’s ex-girlfriend also broke her silence on social media, admitting that she and the singer dated for 10 months and throughout that period, he had allegedly abused her physically and mentally.
She also stated that the abuse allegedly began when he tried to stop her from seeing her friends, claiming that he beat her at the slightest provocation. She mentioned that she had been enduring the beating until September 15, 2020, when she alleged that the singer beat her to the extent that her face became swollen. The assault, according to her, resulted in her suffering internal bleeding in the head, as confirmed by her doctors.
The allegations were greeted by criticisms from his fans and celebrities, all of whom condemned the alleged acts of the singer. He was arrested and arraigned to court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges on February 9, 2021. On March 9, 2021, the judge presiding over the case remanded him to the Ikoyi correctional facility.
Sequel to the outcome of the lawsuit, his contract with Davido’s DMW record label was terminated. The record label released a press statement officially announcing the revocation of his contract with the label, stating that they do not support domestic violence and stand in solidarity with domestic violence victims.
