Kelsey Grammer’s Beast Transformation Process For X-Men Was Way Tougher Than Fans Think
Actor Kelsey Grammer made his professional acting debut as Lennox in the 1981 Broadway revival of Macbeth. Since then, the actor has showcased his talent in various movies and TV shows, however, the one role that was quite demanding for Grammer was of Dr. Hank McCoy / Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).
One may assume that the creators used special effects to create the Beast look, however, Grammer sat in the makeup chair for hours getting the accurate look. Everything was artificially made from the face to his entire body, and Grammer performed remarkably in the heavy suit and makeup. After 9 years, fans were not prepared to see Grammer playing the role once again as the character is now officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Actor Kelsey Grammer‘s transformation into the character of Beast in X-Men movies X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) was done mostly through hard work as makeup artists spent hours creating the prosthetics that were later applied on Grammer. In some videos/photos shared by SpectralMotion, one can see that Grammer sat in a chair for a very long time preparing for his scenes.
The Beast is an iconic character and the creators could’ve easily used special effects to create the character, however, they spent hours perfecting the craft in order to make things look authentic, something which is worth praising. Unfortunately, as the world progresses, the use of special effects is only increasing and fans fear that this character will also lose its authenticity.

Kelsey Grammer is also MCU’s Dr. Hank McCoy / Beast
Dr. Hank McCoy / Beast has finally entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it appears like Kelsey Grammer is the one playing the role once again, however, this time it seems like the character was made using CGI.
In Marvel Studios’ latest movie, The Marvels, fans got a cameo of Kelsey Grammer as Beast in the end credit scenes. After Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Marvel Studios has now full access to X-Men characters as well as the Fantastic Four franchise. Another actor who played the role of Dr. Hank McCoy / Beast was Nicholas Hoult but it seems like Marvel has selected its Beast actor.
