Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Hiatus Could Be Ending Soon
Last month, Jujutsu Kaisen went on a hiatus indefinitely because of author Gege Akutami’s health issues. Well, after a long break, Jujutsu Kaisen might resume its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
Jujutsu Kaisen is definitely one of the best Japanese manga to read right now. Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump serialized the manga in March 2018, and since then, Gege Akutami has received nothing but praises for his work. An anime adaptation of the manga also premiered in November 2020, motivating even more people to read the manga.

Jujutsu Kaisen follows a weekly release schedule; however, on June 10th, 2021, the manga went on a break to give the author a restful time. Akutami assured fans that he is not facing any serious illness and “it should take him around a month” to recover fully. Since then, fans are waiting for any update on the mangaka’s health.
Jujutsu Kaisen Might Return in Shonen Jump Issue #35
Well, there’s no official statement from Shonen Jump on Akutami’s health, but if recent reports are to be believed, it looks like Akutami is feeling a little better now. That’s because, according to WSJ_Manga on Twitter, Jujutsu Kaisen would resume its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35; the issue is scheduled to release on Monday, August 2nd, 2021. So, fans might get to read the next manga chapter pretty soon.
Apparently, Jujutsu Kaisen will be resuming its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35.

Note that Shonen Jump has yet to confirm the above release date for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153. Also, the editorial department may extend the hiatus for a little longer if Akutami needs more time to recover.
