Jeffrey's Trackside Diner September 2018 from Tennessee and Kentucky! - Model Railroader Magazine
Thanks for the prayers Garry.
The whole Galaxy thing was he didn't like the diner "changing" or evolving, specifically anything that I was doing that he perceived as "change", Mr. Otte got after him he got mad and left, perhaps someone can reach out to him and tell him he's missed.
I kinda liked him being he worked in the hotel industry like my Dad and I.
So I'm not going to get into details to much but I talked to my friend Sarah and we're cool so that's good, she's really happy like a whole other person, she's starting to enjoy college, I'm happy for her.
I went to the local small town pharmacy and asked Malory for her number, we know each other from way back but we didn't know each other, we were in the same AWANA group but it was divided by boys and girls so we didn't know each other well.
Everytime I go in there she talks to me and it's like obvious she might be "interested"
I was going to go tailgating at the ZHS football game with my church but I got there too late so I got Canes instead.
When I was pulling out of the drive through I looked inside the restaurant like I always do to see if anyone I know is there. These girls were sitting at the high table along the window, one of them was just staring at me with her mouth open, her friends were nudging her and stuff, it was pretty hilarious. I guess she thought I looked pretty good in my truck that's almost half again older than me.
I'm contemplating getting a low mileage 351 Windsor to tinker with, GT40 heads, Lightning/GT40 Intake manifold, Mass Air, perhaps a H.O. cam (I heard the Explorer cams make tons of torque but are horrible at highway speed, and the Mustang H.O. cam makes ok torque and a lot of HP/speed, so perhaps a custom cam that's a happy medium of these two would be in order) long tube headers, dual side pipes (two out each side), perhaps a procharger or a hood scoop induction (shaker anyone?) The ultimate goal would be to swap the 167k mile 302 and perhaps the E4od (also 167k) for the 351w and a lower mileage E4od, I'd also get the engine parameters to be a scaled up version of the 302 H.O. performance specs for the A/F ratio, throttle response, timing, ect.
Why am I going to use stock "performance" parts? Because 1 I'm cheap and 2 I'm not looking to have a monster just something that if I wanted to spin the tires coming off the line at an intersection I could.
Well that's about all from me.
Brent just to post it again, I'll be doing she's got a way and if you could read my mind with a piano and maybe a guitar.
You may be right is going to be with the garage band, which I'm soooo looking forward to.
I'm also really excited about she's got a way, Billy Joel is my all time favorite musician so to do one (actually two) of his songs for an audience is going to be really great.
Heres some Billy and some Bleachers (he's really cool because his stuff is new but has this quasi 80s vibe)
