Jamie Lee Curtis Officiated Her Daughter’s Wedding In Cosplay: ‘Yes They Do and Did!’—See Pics

Jamie Lee Curtis shared photos from the wedding on Instagram, showing us everything from the rainbow-draped halls to the guests dressed as various otherworldly characters. The Halloween actor couldn’t contain her excitement, writing in all caps “YES THEY DO AND DID! MARRIED!” in her caption.

Ruby and Kynthia’s wedding comes a year after Ruby publicly shared that she is transgender in an interview with People. Ruby discussed the journey of coming out, and the open-armed support her parents (Curtis and screenwriter-actor Christopher Guest) have always shown her. However, that doesn’t mean it was easy for the professional game editor. 

“It was scary—just the sheer fact of telling them something about me they didn’t know. It was intimidating—but I wasn’t worried. They had been so accepting of me my entire life,” Ruby said.

Curtis, a mother of two, shared in the same interview with People that she is working on learning more about the transgender community. “I’m a grateful student,” she said. “I’m learning so much from Ruby. The conversation is ongoing. But I want to know: How can I do this better?”
