Issa Rae’s Sheer Lace Corset Puts a Sexy Spin on the Skirt Suit—See Pics

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that Issa Rae catapulted into the spotlight with a show called Insecure and not, I don’t know, Hot Confident Boss Lady. I mean, look at her! 

For an appearance on the Today show on Tuesday, July 19, Rae wore a cantaloupe-colored skirt suit layered over a matching sheer lace corset, which completed the monochromatic look. 

Some playful details—oversized heart-shaped buttons, a matchy-matchy mani-pedi—prevented the look from drifting the way of the drab skirt suits of the Working Girl era, while the on-trend see-through corset brought the whole thing squarely into the year 2022. 

She styled the look with a sleek braided updo, chunky hoop earrings, a small black box clutch, and periwinkle strappy heels. The whole thing looks like something Eve might wear to work in a remake of the 2000 classic Life-Size.
