With just a few days to go for October to end, there are a few remaining events left in Pokemon before the next month kicks off. One of them is the Spotlight Hour and here is all you need to know about it.

Is there a Shiny Murkrow in Pokemon Go October Spotlight Hour 2021?

For the last week of October, we have Murkrow as the featured Pokemon in the game. This means that there will be an increased spawn rate of Murkrow throughout the span of the event, which lasts from 6 pm to 7 pm for all regions. Do note that these timings are according to your local time, so irrespective of where you are, you will be getting the Spotlight Hour at that time itself.

Murkrow is a Dark/Flying-type Pokemon and it was added to the game back in Generation II. It hails from the Johto region and evolves to Honchkrow. It’s been quite a number of years since Murkrow was added to the game.

As with all Spotlight Hours, players are quite curious to know whether a Shiny variant of the Pokemon exists in the game or not. It should be noted that a shiny Murkrow does indeed exist in Pokemon Go. This means that you will be able to get a Shiny Murkrow if you are lucky enough. That being said, don’t have too high hopes.

The spawn rates of shinies aren’t affected at all by the Spotlight Hour, so you might not even see a Shiny Murkrow, to begin with. It all boils down to your luck, and for shinies, you need quite a lot of it.
