Is the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight canceled? When is the fight set for now?

The Mike Tyson-Jake Paul megafight boxing match is in limbo after an ulcer flare-up halted Tyson's training.

Tyson and Paul are still optimistic that the fight will happen, and a new date could be coming shortly.

Why didn't Mike Tyson fight Jake Paul?

In late May Tyson had a medical episode when his ulcer flared up. On May 31, he announced the fight was being postponed but sounded optimistic it would happen at some point.

"Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover," Tyson said in a statement. "My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon.

"Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end, you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone’s patience and can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year."

When is the fight set for now?

Netflix indicated it will announce a new fight date by the end of this week, which is rapidly approaching.

The fight will still be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
