Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition is just around the corner, and fans are quite excited to know what lies in the latest edition.
It’s going to be almost a decade in a few days since Skyrim was released, and what a journey it has been for the game so far. While we have a new edition coming to celebrate this anniversary, this isn’t the first time we are getting a new edition of the game.

There have been a total of six releases over the past decade, including various editions such as Legendary and Special, along with ports to other platforms. While the base game has remained pretty much the same, there have been other additions in each edition such as DLC, expansions, and much more. With the game launching on November 11th, fans have a few queries about the game.
Is Skyrim Anniversary Edition Coming to Xbox Game Pass & PS4/PS5?
After the recent Bethesda acquisition by Microsoft, it is being expected that all Bethesda games will be arriving for Xbox Game Pass on Day 1. However, that doesn’t apply to Skyrim, well because, it’s Skyrim. Skyrim Anniversary Edition will not be available on Xbox Game Pass. However, you can get it at a discount.
Considering that the base Skyrim game is already available on Xbox Game Pass, all you need to do is pick up the upgrade pack for $19.99 and you will be able to enjoy Skyrim Anniversary Edition at almost a third of the cost. That’s quite a good deal if you are a hardcore fan and want to try out the handful of new features in the Anniversary Edition.
As far as the PS4 and PS5 versions are concerned, yes, the game will be released on both PS4 and PS5. There will be a next-gen edition as well, unsurprisingly, and Skyrim Special Edition and Anniversary Edition owners will get it for free.
