Is Heliolisk Good in Pokemon GO & What's Its Best Moveset?
Pokemon GO’s brand new Power Plant event is here, bringing with it a pair of new Pokemon Helioptile and Heliolisk.
The event is the next part of the Season of Heritage’s overarching story, in which players are trying to find out what is behind a giant door.
The story continues with a range of Electric-type Pokemon appearing over the two-week event window, but as always, the newly released Pokemon will hog the limelight.
So, as I’m sure you’re eager to know, let’s take a look at whether Heliolisk is going to be good in Pokemon GO and what its best moveset is.
Is Heliolisk Good in Pokemon GO?
It’s safe to say that Heliolisk is not very good in Pokemon GO and is nothing more than a ‘Dex filler.
PVPoke ranks the Generator Pokemon as the 518th best pick in the GO Battle League’s Great League. Although it does pick up wins against some of the most popular Pokemon, including Azumarill, Jellicent, Skarmory, Sableye and Bastiodon, its stats just aren’t good enough to make it competitive.
It does perform slightly better in the Ultra League, coming in at 396th place when powered up with XL Candies. Sadly though, for Heliolisk fans at least, there are 395 better options for the division.
Strangely, Heliolisks best showing is in the Master League, where it can best the likes of Zapdos, Articuno and Ho-Oh with its 286th place entry. However, if it comes up against any Pokemon that isn’t Flying-type, it’s in trouble.
