Interview With Heidi Klum on Finding Bras That Fit and Are Still Sexy

Glamour: How many bras do you have in rotation at any given time?

H.K.: I don’t even know how to answer that question! I have been collecting lingerie for years, and I have drawers full of everything you can imagine. I have my favorite pieces but I really do use it all. I always make sure to have a great T-shirt bra, a lacy bra, a sexy black bra, fun colors for pop and a great strapless or plunging neckline bra for special occasions.

Glamour: How many bras are in your personal collection?

H.K.: I’ve lost count! Whatever is a lot, I have more than that.

Glamour: What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten in terms of finding lingerie and bras that work for you.

H.K.: Go get fitted! Lingerie stores have trained bra fitters that are there to get you into the right size! Unfortunately most of us ladies are wearing the wrong size. Once fitted into the right bra, you will feel amazing and look even better. Most people don’t realize that when your body changes, so does your bra size. You have to get fitted regularly!

Glamour: What are some bra no-nos?

H.K.: As long as the fit is right, I don’t really think there are any no-nos. A visible bra can be so gorgeous when done right, whether it’s a little bit of lace, to a colorful strap peeking out. You should have fun with lingerie. Just like the rest of your clothing, it should be an expression of your personality.

Glamour: What’s the number one question people ask you about bras?

H.K.: I think most people ask me about sizing. They want to make sure they get a great fit or that we make bras in their size. It was really important to me that we make something for everyone so we go all the way up to size G in some of our styles.
