Therefore by the end of 2023, Variety released their list of the worst movies of this year. But the list visibly infuriated a netizen who openly tweeted against it. Instead of listing the best movies to lift the spirit, the news outlet listed the worst films.
Gathering all the bad movies of 2023, that were channeling what’s going on around them, Variety noted Owen Gleiberman and Peter Debruge’s 5 worst movies, each. In the list, there were rather renowned films like Ghosted, Asteroid City, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, Heart of Stone, The Flash, and more.
But surprisingly, while most people took Variety’s list light-heartedly, while the outlet openly criticized the hard work of filmmakers and actors, several netizens had different opinions. Among all, one twitterati appeared to be personally humiliated by the list, wh’s opinion on X eventually sparked a debate.
