Identity of man killed in November car crash released by police
GALVESTON, Ind. — The identity of a man who was killed after a three-car crash in Hamilton County was revealed Friday.
On November 15, 2023, around 12:30 p.m., deputies from the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office were dispatched to a three-car fatal crash at US 31 and 136th Street for a death investigation.
The driver of a GMC Envoy was pronounced dead on scene.
Positive identification of the driver was challenging due to his injuries, police said. However, a fingerprint comparison was done to help properly identify the victim. Hamilton County Coroner Jeff Jellison identified the victim as Joe Louis Ingram Jr., 42, of Galveston, Indiana.
The cause of the crash is under investigation at this time, and the official cause and manner of death are pending autopsy and toxicology results.
Indiana State Police assisted with the identification.
