I’m homeless, says world’s richest man, Elon Musk
The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, has revealed he is homeless and “rotates through friends’ spare rooms.”
The Tesla and SpaceX mogul also revealed he hardly spends his money on properties and only owns a plane so he could spend more time working.
Elon Musk, who is estimated to be worth about $200 billion, said in a TED interview that aired on Monday 18th April 2022 that he doesn’t own a single house even in his primary base of Texas or Tesla’s San Francisco headquarters.
The 50-year-old said: “I don’t even own a place right now, I’m literally staying at friends’ places. If I travel to the Bay Area, which is where most of Tesla’s engineering is, I basically rotate through friends’ spare bedrooms.”
Elon Musk also said he doesn’t live the typical billionaire lifestyle of owning a yacht and going on non-stop holidays.
“I don’t have yacht, I don’t take vacations, so its not that my personal consumption is high. One exception is a plane but if I don’t use the plane I have less hours to work,” he said.
