‘I don’t want to fight’ – Rema clears air on the alleged beef with Davido
Popular Nigerian singer and composer, Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema, has finally cleared the air about his purported feud with senior colleague, David Adeleke, aka Davido.
In 2020, Rema was seen ranting online after reports that Davido smacked him at the BBNaija 2020 finale, which was won by reality personality Laycon.
Although Davido and Rema both performed at the BBNaija season 5 finals, rumours circulated that Laycon and his fellow housemates requested to take photographs with Rema but his bouncers refused.

This reportedly angered Davido, and he advised Rema to be humble. During the process, Rema allegedly received a slap from the DMW boss.
However, when asked about his rumoured conflict with Davido, Rema said that it was all gossip, stating that he has never had a problem with a musician.

“I have so much respect for the Og’s, I don’t want to look for anyone’s trouble,” Rema explained, “All I want to do is make good music. I’m an introvert, and I don’t want to fight.”
The “Calm Down” hitmaker went on to say that Afrobeats artists have done great to promote peace among themselves.
Rema stated that despite their egos and achievements, their solidarity kept them going for a long time, even when the public became enraged.
