How to Use Amiibo For Vacation Homes in Animal Crossing DLC

For many players, decorating their home and island is the main attraction of the Animal Crossing series.

Sadly, Nintendo has neglected the game for quite some time and players islands are looking incredible. Thankfully, the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 and Happy Home Paradise DLC is here.

The DLC adds a bunch of new items, counters and wall partitions, as well as the ability to design vacation homes for different characters throughout the game, including those they have Amiibo cards for.

If you are lucky enough to own some Animal Crossing series Amiibo cards, here’s how you can use them to create vacation homes for those characters.

How to Use Amiibo Cards For Vacation Homes in Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise DLC

The first thing you’ll need to do to have the ability to use your Animal Crossing Amiibo cards to help create a villager’s vacation home is head to the resort islands. You can read our guide on how to do that right here.

Following that, you’ll need to make your way to the white device that’s in a green holder, seen in the image below.

Once there, interact with the device by pressing the A button and follow the instructions to invite a character to have their own vacation home.

Once you have completed the conversation, you’ll be greeted with a screen, like the one below, with your chosen villager and you’ll then be able to discuss the parameters that they’d like to have for their new home decorated.
