Reordering a Story Highlight on Instagram
At the moment, there isn't an option to directly change the order of your story's highlights. But, it's possible to follow a few simple steps.
Step 1: Once you have logged in to your account, head to the menu bar to the left and tap on your profile photo.

You can also access an Edit Highlight option by long-pressing the highlight button to make the pop-up window appear.
Step 5: After that, you'll see two sections in the highlights gallery Selected and Stories. Since you're looking to add a story, select the Stories tab.
Then, you pick any story you want to add to that particular point.
You'll know that the story's selected when you see an orange checkmark in the lower right of your story's thumbnail.
Once you have selected a story, head to the upper left of the page, and then press Done.
Then, you'll see the IG story highlight you selected earlier was moved to the top of the list.

Step 8: In the pop-out, choose the Remove from Highlight option.
Then, to complete the transfer, select the Remove Video option in the pop-out window that appears.
And, just like that, you've eliminated the highlight that you randomly added.
Repeat this process until all the story highlights are in the order you wish them to appear.
