How to Get the Alkonost Mount in FFXIV Patch 6.1
The Alkonost Mount is one of the new additions to FFXIV through Patch 6.1, and you can get this mount for free with no need to pay if you manage to complete a related quest.
Yesterday, Square Enix officially launched Patch 6.1 on all Final Fantasy XIV servers across the world, allowing players to start experiencing the new content and get all the new items.

With the new update, players received a brand new story-driven questline, some New Game Plus improvements, a ton of bug fixes and balance changes, a significant amount of decorating and housing stuff, and finally, many new items including a new minion and a new mount.
How to Get the Alkonost Mount in FFXIV Patch 6.1
In order to get the Alkonost Mount in Final Fantasy XIV, you should collect three Resplendent Feathers, which can be obtained by completing the Timeworn Kumbhiraskin treasure maps. Once you have all feathers that you need, head to the Radz-at-Han to meet with the vendor who is supposed to let you have the Alkonost Mount in exchange for those feathers.
The vendor is located at [X:10.6, Y:10.1] and they are called “Nesvaaz.” Meet with the vendor and exchange your feathers for Alkonost Whistle. Now, you can use the whistle to spawn your new mount!
