How to Get Eevee in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl
With eight evolutions, Eevee’s a particularly special Pokémon. Here’s how you can get one and all its evolutions in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
With such a large world to explore, tracking down your favorite Pokémon can get pretty difficult. So, if you’re looking for the adorable Eevee, here are all the ways you can find one!
WHERE TO FIND EEVEE IN POKÉMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND/SHINING PEARL
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, Eevee is actually a bit difficult to get. You must:
- Defeat the Pokemon League
- Complete the Sinnoh Pokedex
- Unlock the National Pokedex
Once you’ve completed all that, you can venture back to the Trophy Garden behind the Pokémon Mansion off of Route 212. Talk to the mansion’s owner, Mr. Backlot, every in-game day until he tells you there are Eevees in the garden. If you go into the Mansion’s Trophy Garden and run around in the grass, there’s a chance you’ll find an Eevee there.
According to Serebii.net, you’ll have a roughly 5% chance to find Eevee. Otherwise, if you don’t want to keep coming back, you can soft-reset until you find your Pokémon. You can also always try and trade for an Eevee with another player!
If you’re looking to evolve your Eevee, you can do so seven different ways in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. Unfortunately, the fairy-type evolution Sylveon will not be available since the National Pokédex only goes up to Arceus.
HOW TO GET ALL EVOLUTIONS
Here’s how you can get all other Eevee evolutions:
Flareon: Evolved using a Fire Stone. You can find Fire Stones in the Grand Underground, or, of course, at Fuego Ironworks.
Jolteon: Evolved using a Thunder Stone. You can find these stones also at the Grand Underground, in Sunyshore City, or on Route 229.
Vaporeon: Evolved using a Water Stone. You’ll find them in the Grand Underground or on an island reachable using Surf on Route 213.
Espeon: In order to evolve into Espeon, you must reach a high friendship level with your Eevee and then level them up during the daytime.
Umbreon: To get the dark type evolution, you must reach a high friendship level with Eevee and then level them up during the nighttime.
You can increase friendship by battling and walking with your Pokémon, feeding them poffins and rare candies, and grooming them. Giving your Pokémon a Soothe Bell will also help to increase friendship. You can check your friendship levels via the Friendship Checker in the Pokétch.
Leafeon: The only way to obtain Leafeon in this game is by going with the original method: search for a Mossy Rock in Eterna Forest, near the Route 204 entrance in the leftmost corner of the forest. Level up your Eevee by the rock and it’ll evolve into Leafeon.
Glaceon: Similar process to Leafeon, only the ice version. Find the Ice Rock by the top right corner of Route 217, opposite Route 218 and Snowpoint City. Level up your Eevee there, and it’ll evolve into the ice type Pokémon!
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl is available to play now on Switch.
