One such weapon is the exotic Winterbite Stasis Glaive, which you can use to slice down enemies in close-quarters or fire a large projectile that will freeze any enemies around it. Whichever option you choose, this is a weapon that you have to get your hands on. In order to do so, however, there are a few steps that you will have to complete, and it's a pretty time-consuming process. Luckily, while it takes a bit of time, it's not a particularly difficult thing to do.
How To Unlock The Winterbite Exotic Quest
In order to unlock the quest that gives you the Winterbite Glaive, you will have had to have beaten the Lightfall campaign. After you have done this, you will have the chance to help Quinn restore the Hall of Heroes to its former glory. This entails restoring the various monuments around the area, each one pertaining to a fallen Cloudstrider.
You will have to complete three quests for Quinn — Stargazer, Maelstrom, and Bluejay — before she'll start you on Strider, the exotic quest to acquire Winterbite.
How To Complete Stargazer
- Loot a Terminal Overload chest at the end of the activity
- Defeat the Vex Hydra in Esi Terminal
- Complete public events, patrols, and loot chests to obtain Terminal Override key.
- Open a Terminal Overload Key Chest.
- Repair Stargazer memorial.
- Return to Quinn.
How To Complete Maelstrom
- Participate in public events, patrols, and loot resources in the Vex Incursion Zone, and bond with two Strand sources.
- Complete the Lost Sector within the Vex Incusion Zone.
- Repair Maelstrom's memorial.
- Return to Quinn.
How To Complete Bluejay
- Talk to Nimbus
- Obtain Shellcode Fragments by defeating enemies in the Vex Incursion Zone with a Strand subclass equipped, and open a Terminal Overload Key Chest to obtain a Polymorphic Engine.
- Complete the Partition activity.
- Repair Bluejay's memorial.
- Return to Quinn.
Each of these quests isn't too long or difficult to complete, and they spell out what you need to do pretty well. Just make sure you pay attention to what subclasses or abilities you may need to equip to complete a specific step.
With these quests done and finished, Quinn will offer you the exotic quest, Strider, that will lead you to the glaive.

How To Complete The Strider Exotic Quest
The Strider quest is the most time-consuming quest of the batch, and that's due to the fact that part of it is time-gated. However, it's still straightforward and just requires a little bit of patience. Pick up the quest from Quinn, and the first step will be shown to you.
Use A Terminal Overload Key In Three Areas
This is the longest step of all and where the time-gating comes into play. In order to finish this step, you will have to complete the Terminal Overload activity in each of the three different areas in Neomuna: Ahimsa Park, Liming Harbor, and Zephyr Concourse. While the activity itself is not long, the issue is that the activity cycles through each area every 24 hours, meaning that you will have to do the activity once for three days in order to finish it.
It won't be hard, but it sure is frustrating to have to wait in order to finish the objective. Just remember to do it each day, and the objective will be completed. Even better: there won't be an objective with time constraints like this again.
Defeat Shadow Legion & Complete Ahimsa Park Lost Sector
A simple step that tasks you with two things: obtaining data from Shadow Legion around Neomuna and completing the Lost Sector in Ahimsa Park. Shadow Legion are everywhere around the city, so it won't be hard at all to defeat enough to claim the 20 data you need from them, and the Lost Sector itself is easy to find.
Just head to Calus' ship and look down to the right. You will see the Lost Sector painted on a strange rock formation. Look down over the edge, and you will see an opening you can go into. Just follow the path, and you will find the Lost Sector. Just run through it, defeat everything in your path, and you will be done.
Repair The Memorial In The Hall Of Heroes
As you have done before, head back to the Hall of Heroes, talk with Quinn, and repair the last memorial. It will fix itself just like the others, and the next step will be given to you.
Defeat Vex At Maya's Retreat
Before you can get your hands on the Glaive, you have to help take care of some Vex at Maya's Retreat. You visited this place during the campaign, and you will find it branching off of Liming Harbor, in the bottom part of the map. Just work your way through the tunnels and paths, taking out all the Vex you find, and be sure to shut down each Vex Conflux that you come across. Each one will only spawn after the one before it is shut down, so try not to miss one. Once you have shut them all down and wiped out all the Vex, the step will be complete.
Talk To Quinn
The final step of the Strider quest has you returning to the Hall of Heroes and talking with Quinn once more. Do that, and the Winterbite exotic Glaive is yours!
