How long is New World Open Beta and Does Progress Carry Over

Amazon’s first MMO, New World is just a few weeks away from launch and the open beta has kicked off recently.

Amazon’s venture in the game development scene has been quite shaky to say the least. The first game that was released back in 2020, Crucible, had a lot of issues at launch. Just a couple of months after its release, it was unreleased and put back into beta. Eventually, the game was scrapped off altogether.

New World has been on the good side of things so far. The game has witnessed a lot of popularity in the beta stages and has been widely acclaimed by fans and critics alike, with some even declaring it as one of the best games to come out on PC this year.

How long is New World Open Beta and does progress carry over

Before the full release of the game, the developers have kicked off the open beta phase of the game. The open beta starts on September 9 at 9am CT and will last until Sept. 13 at 1:59am CT.

During the beta stages, there is a level cap of 60 and a lot of content is available for players to play. However, considering the sheer size of the game, it is not quite possible to reach that point during the beta stages due to the limited time.

Moreover, the grind is not quite worth it. The developed have made it clear that the game’s data will be cleaned up after the beta, so whatever progress you make will not carry over in any way whatsoever. That being said, if you are wondering whether you should buy the game or not, the beta is a good way to come to a conclusion.
