As the master of the Herta Space Station, Herta has a lot on her hands in Honkai Star Rail. She becomes available to you after you complete the first test for Simulated Universe, a 'virtual universe' in the station created by Herta and her associates.

As a 4-Star Ice type character following the Erudition Path, Herta can be a Sub-DPS or Main DPS dealing large amounts of Multi-target AoE Damage. Should you choose to build up the leader of Herta Space Station, here is how you can build her.
Herta's Best Builds & Relic Sets
As Herta will be one of the DPS members of the team, she will benefit from a boost to her ATK or CRIT Stats to increase her damage. You'll want to incorporate these stats into her Relic Set, especially to increase her Ice DMG against those who are weak to the element. Here is her recommended Relic Set.
4-Set Of Hunter Of Glacial Forest
The 2-Set of Hunter of Glacial Forest will give Herta an increase of 10 percent to her Ice DMG. The 4-Set will increase Herta's CRIT DMG by 25 percent for 2 turns after she uses her Ultimate. This set is the most ideal for increasing Herta's overall damage, especially her Ice DMG to take out weak enemies. Here are the main stats and substats to pick for each Relic piece.

Remember to focus on building up Herta's ATK and CRIT Stats in order to increase her overall damage. It will also be helpful to buff up her SPD so she can frequently attack the enemies on field, and Break Effect will increase the chances of destroying enemy shields.

Herta's Best Light Cones
As a character focused solely on dealing damage, you'll want to choose Light Cones that will synergize well with her role. This means you'll want to choose a Light Cone that increases ATK, CRIT Stats, or Ice DMG. Here are some of our suggested options.
5-Star Light Cone: Before Dawn
Before Dawn will increase Herta's CRIT DMG by 36 percent. It will also increase her Skill and Ultimate DMG by 18 percent. After Herta uses her Skill or Ultimate, she will gain Somnus Corpus. Upon triggering a follow-up attack, Somnus Corpus will be consumed, and the follow-up attack will have its DMG increased by 48 percent. Before Dawn will be an especially beneficial Light Cone to Herta if you have it available. It will boost a lot of her important stats and attacks to ensure high damage dealt.
4-Star Light Cone: The Birth Of The Self
The Birth of the Self will increase DMG dealt by Herta's follow-up attacks by 24 percent. If the current HP of the target enemy is below or equal to 50 percent, it will increase DMG dealt by follow-up attacks by an extra 24 percent. Since most of Herta's attacks already have an increase to damage to enemies with HP below 50 percent, this Light Cone will allow Herta to use this ability to deal additional damage and take out enemies faster.
3-Star Light Cone: Sagacity
Sagacity will increase Herta's ATK by 24 percent for 2 turns after she uses her Ultimate. Sagacity is a great placeholder Light Cone for those who don't currently have access to a higher level option. It will still do the job by buffing her ATK stat to ensure her damage is high.

Herta's Best Team Compositions
If you have Herta in your team, she will most likely play the role of a Sub-DPS to allow a stronger character to take on the Main DPS position. You'll want to include at least one Support character that can buff Herta's ATK. Here are some suggested characters and a couple alternatives.
