Headcovers or not | Golf Monthly

There is a possible corrosion issue with using iron covers if you don't clean & dry irons effectively, however from the standpoint of protectiong shafts, dings to heads & such like, not to mention when using bags where clubs hang loose, preventing the chink, chink, chink... then near enough an essential. Though personally I really don't like iron head covers, I'd feel a right one using them & anyway I have my Bennington bag which does an effective job keeping heads apart & away from shafts. Only issue comes when traveling & clubs are in the boot for me.

Oh & I always use covers on woods & hybrids & putters.
