Over the past few months, the creator, Eiichiro Oda, has been releasing incredible chapters to readers. The Five Elders have arrived in Egghead, bringing the drama to a climax. Not only that, creator Oda has finally unveiled their abilities in a memorable double-spread panel that has shocked the fans.

However, amidst the spectacular fighting and plot twists now taking place, One Piece will be taking an extended hiatus. Manga readers will have to wait a while to start reading One Piece 1112 because the comic book series is currently on hiatus. Oda has declared a brief hiatus following the release of One Piece 1111 which has led fans to believe that this hiatus is regarding Oda’s health concern.

Eiichiro Oda To Go on a Major Break After Upcoming Chapter

One Piece manga writer Eiichiro Oda will take a three-week break following the most recent significant event in the Egghead story arc. X (Formerly Twitter) user @pewpiece has revealed that One Piece will be on break for 3 weeks after chapter 1111. Chapter 1111, which will be released on March 25, will be the final new chapter for the foreseeable future.

The One Piece manga will be on hiatus from April 1 to 15. Chapter 1112 will be published on April 22. But following that, the show will take another vacation with the remainder of Weekly Shonen Jump in observance of Golden Week, a Japanese holiday. As of right now, the cause of the break is still unknown.

These kinds of hiatuses typically indicate a health issue with the author. It is a well-known fact that Oda has experienced health problems. His unusual decision to take a sabbatical at this time raises the possibility that something is off. As the news spread on social media, fans gathered to express their concerns for Oda’s health.

Fans Pray For Eiichiro Oda’s Health

This is One Piece’s longest hiatus since June and July 2023, when Oda missed four weeks due to eye surgery. One Piece had just wrapped up the Wano Saga and started the Final Saga at that point. However, last time, fans were given a valid reason. But this time, there is nothing officially declared which has led fans to get concerned over the mangaka’s health.

Pain😭but if it means that Oda getting some well deserved rest and hopefully nothing serious regarding his health than I can live with it and hope the upcoming chapter is a banger❤️

Hopefully Oda is doing well & the break is not due to some major health issue🙏

While fans pray for Oda’s health, nothing is confirmed as of yet. There is a very good chance that the hiatus might be regarding something personal. Also, as the mangaka Akira Toriyama recently passed away, the break could very well be to honor his legacy.
