“He is not even in the same stratosphere as Bill” – Social media brutally trolls Rex Ryan for declaring Bill Belichick as nothing without Tom Brady
The New England Patriots had yet another disappointing season. They finished with an 8-9 losing record and were third in the AFC East. This is the second time in three years that the Bill Belichick-led Patriots have succumbed to the bottom of the division ever since Tom Brady left to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This led people to believe that Bill Belichick can’t make it without Tom Brady under the center. After Brady left, the Patriots signed former No.1 pick Cam Newton but didn’t work out and they finally picked Mac Jones in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft.
Rookie Mac Jones did a great job in his first year as he led the team to the playoffs but lost in the Wild Card game. He had a tumulous second year as the offense looked like it had no idea what to do, though the defense kept them alive in the game most of the time. Now, the question arises whether Bill Belichick would’ve created the Patriots dynasty if it weren’t for Tom Brady.

Bill Belichick misses the playoffs yet again
Former Buffalo Bills head coach turned analyst Rex Ryan had an interesting take on Bill Belichick as he discussed the Patriots’ head coach on ESPN. Ryan said, “Give me Tom Brady and see my stats. How many Super Bowls I would’ve won? … I don’t know if I would’ve won 6 or 7, but maybe,” This comment went viral within a few minutes.
People started criticizing Rex Ryan for even comparing himself with Bill Belichick. The former New York Jets head coach has had a weird relationship with Belichick over the years. It all started with his comment “I’m not here to kiss Bill Belichick’s rings.” Since then, there has been an unexplainable animosity between the two. Ryan has been pretty vocal about his views of Belichick and the Patriots after Brady’s departure.
Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy had said a similar comment a few months back. “I think he was very blessed to have Tom Brady. Now that he doesn’t have Tom Brady, he’s like all the other coaches, all the other good coaches. The Marvin Lewises, the Rex Ryans,” McCoy said on Kay Adam’s show, Up & Adams. Bill Belichick has a 79-88 record without Tom Brady.
Still, the internet thought that Rex Ryan who has 65–68 records shouldn’t speak ill of one of the greatest coaches in the league.
Rex is not even in the same stastophere as Bill. He needs to take a seat.

Does Rex Ryan ever do an interview where he isn’t trying to convince people he’s the best coach of all time lol

Rex Ryan always been a clown. Good DC but dude needs to shut up. Pissed his coaching gig away with the jets REFUSING to play Tebow over mark Sanchez

forever forgetting Belichick’s role in developing Brady, as NE developed lots of other starting NFL QBs. Ryan consistently failed at that.

Haha he's a sore loser is what he is

He’s speaking facts. He even has a better career record without Brady than Belichick does. These numbers are embarrassing…

While the stat does have some truth in it, it seems Ryan might have bitten the wrong bone here!
