Guide for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas

This section of the walkthrough is for the single player achievements in the main story mode and terrorist hunt. They are listed in the order you will most likely unlock them in.

The true Identity achievement requires the Xbox Live Vision Camera. For whatever reason, the Kinect will not work as a substitute.

Equipment specialist can be unlocked in the first mission or in any other. There are a few resupply points throughout the mission. If you die and restart the checkpoint near one, just switch out your two gadgets you are currently carrying with two new ones.

Each Single Play Campaign achievement is broken down into scenes and chapters where you must complete all chapters for the achievement. There are too many videos to post in the walkthrough. For walkthrough videos on the missions, please visit . Because I've gone through the effort to create these videos, I will not spend as much time explaining through text.

For Tough Hombre, you must complete the scene Mexican Boarder. Chapters: Inbound, Trainyard, Mines, and Escape.

For High Roller, you must complete the scene Calypso Casino. Chapters: The Stip, Security, Prime Time, Dr. Smythe, and Extraction.

For street cleaner, you must complete the scene Downtown Vegas. Chapters: Exclusive Gone Wrong, Fremont, and Mafia House

For high climber, you must complete the scene Vertigo Spire: Chapters: Town Assault and Tower Bar

For hell hound, you must complete the scene Dante's Casino: Chapters: Hell's gate, Gabe, Kan, and Data Hub

For dam buster, you must complete the secene Nevada Dam. Chapters: Tourist Center, The Dam, Spillway, Facility, The Doctors, Irena, and Top of the Dam.

Next we have the terrorist hunt mission achievements. There are only two that can be unlocked in single player mode. These two can be unlocked by completing all the missions one time on Realistic difficulty. The description says that it needs to be done splitscreen, but the only way to unlock them is in single player. You must complete the missions: Bordertown, Calypso Casino, Casino Vault, Dam, Library, Kill House, Dantes, Research Labs, LVU Campus, and Streets. You can put the enemy density on low. Using a Riot Shield and any pistol you are comfortable with is probably your best bet for completing the missions in a minimal amount of tries.

Next we will be covering the multiplayer aspect of the achievements. You will spend the majority of your time trying to unlock these. We will start off with the Ranking achievements, then Co-op achievements, and then the versus mode achievements.

Glitching your rank will not help you to unlock these achievements. XP is only earned in Online Versus, Online Terrorist Hunt and Online Co-op Campaign. You will not be able to see the exact amount of XP you have, but will be able to see your progress through each rank in the Service Record under the Player Info menu. XP for versus is determined by how long the game lasts, how many players are present, and whether you win or lose. To get the most XP, you need to play 20 minute games with pretty much a full room. The max XP earned for one game is 1200 in versus. For terrorist hunt, the max you can earn is 600 per game and you must have it on realistic difficulty with enemy density on high.

Becoming a Private 1st Class requires you to earn 3,000 xp.

Becoming a Lieutenant Second Class requires you to earn 172,000 xp.

Becoming an Elite requires you to earn 675,000 xp.

Here is a list of the complete breakdown of xp points require for each rank.

Private Second Class: 0 pts. (Starting Rank)
Private First Class : 3,000 pts
Specialist: 8,400 pts
Corporal: 14,500 pts.
Sergeant: 23,500 pts
Staff Sergeant: 38,500 pts.
Sergeant First Class: 56,500 pts.
Master Sergeant: 82,500 pts.
First Sergeant: 109,500 pts.
Sergeant Major: 139,000 pts.
Lieutenant Second Class: 172,000 pts.
Lieutenant First Class: 214,000 pts
Captain: 264,000 pts
Major: 333,000 pts.
Lt. Colonel: 415,000 pts
Colonel: 535,000 pts.
Elite: 675,000 pts

First two are pretty much tied together and self explanatory. You must complete the missions: Bordertown, Calypso Casino, Casino Vault, Dam, Library, Kill House, Dantes, Research Labs, LVU Campus and Streets. It does not matter what difficulty you have it set on. It can be done online or offline in split screen.

Next two go together also, which are unlocked by completing the story mode through co-op. To make it easy, you can put it on normal difficulty and enable spawns. The only way to fail the mission is for both of you to die at the same time. It can be done online or offline in split screen.

The next two are cumulative of your online and offline terrorist kills in campaign and terrorist hunt. Even if you happen to fail a mission, your kills still count.

Next we will cover the Versus mode achievements. Many of these are not unlocked in a particular order. Walkthrough has them listed in the groups of Team Modes, Solo/Free-for-All modes, and Cumulative, and misc.

Next two are unlocked by playing attack and defend game mode on either of the following maps: LVU Campus or Dam. For bomb expert, you must be on attacking. For siege specialist you must be on defense.

Hazmat Specialist is worded slightly funny. In the match you need to pick up and score with the canister and kill an enemy that has the canister. They do not have to be done while you have the canister in your possession since there is only one on each map. This can be done on any map.

Maps for the intel extraction Attack and Defend mode are: Calypso Casino and Research Labs. You must be on the attacking side.

Maps for the hostage rescue Attack and Defend mode are: Library and Bordertown. You must be on the attacking side.

This one is unlocked by playing Survivor Mode on any map. This is a Free-for-All mode.

The following list is for Cumulative achievements.

For demolition expert, you can use the frag grenade, c4, or breaching charges.

Special operations requires you to play the following maps and modes which equal to 57 total games played to unlock this achievement. Bordertown, Calypso Casino, Casino Vault, Dam, Dantes, Kill House, Library, LVU Campus, Research Labs, and Streets. You must play the following game modes on the above maps. Attack and Defend, Survival, Sharpshooter, Team Survival, Team Sharpshooter, and Retrieval. For Attack and defend, you cannot play this mode on Casino Vault, Kill House, or Streets.

Next are misc achievements that can be unlocked in any versus mode and must be complete in one game session.

Master of Ceremonies is hit or miss if you do not have a decent group of people to help you unlock this one. There are many impatient people who do not like to wait in a lobby while it fills up. You will need to set up a dedicated server with 16 open spots for players. You will not be playing while you are hosting the dedicated lobby. Best game modes that attracts people is either Attack and Defend on Calypso Casino or Team Deathmatch on Casino Vault.
