Giants re-signing WR Isaiah Hodgins to one-year deal

After non-tendering him a contract last week, the Giants have reached an agreement to re-sign wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins.

Hodgins established himself as a much-needed, sure-handed weapon for Daniel Jones after being picked up off waivers midseason from the Buffalo Bills two years ago.

The 26-year-old received an extended opportunity for the first time in his professional career and he made the most of it, hauling in 33 receptions for 351 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

After finishing the regular season on a high note, Hodgins shined during his first career postseason appearance, reeling in eight catches for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Wild Card round against the Vikings.

The Giants rewarded the former sixth-round pick for his efforts last offseason, bringing him back on a one-year deal, but his role in the offense decreased drastically.

Despite a lack of firepower, Hodgins was targeted just 33 times and he finished with 230 yards and three touchdowns across nine starts.

He'll look to get more involved during his second full season with the squad in a relatively open receiver room that contains Wan'Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Darius Slayton, and the recently signed Isaiah McKenzie.
