Genshin Impact Baizhu VA Reveal Hints At Dendro's Future Release

Baizhu fans rejoice, new crumbs indicate we’re getting nearer to his release and Dendro’s release date in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is set in the world of Teyvat, where certain individuals possess Visions that allow them to manipulate seven different Elements. However, the seventh Element, Dendro, has yet to be fully implemented in the game, and there is no Dendro playable character yet.

Baizhu is a character with a Dendro Vision, first introduced in Genshin Impact’s Closed Beta Test 3 in July 2020, before the game’s release. If you played the Beta with the Chinese dub on, Baizhu was already voiced, but this is the first time miHoYo has officially revealed who is his Chinese voice actor. Hinting we’re getting closer to Baizhu’s release date.

Genshin Impact Baizhu’s Chinese Voice Actor announcement hints we’re getting closer to Dendro’s release

As pointed out by @lineeeeeee_ and @BaizhuMains on Twitter, Genshin Impact‘s official Bilibili account, in its official upload of the Age of Flowing Hues cutscene, revealed who’s the Chinese voice actor of Baizhu for the first time ever.

Baizhu is voiced by Qin Qiege, also known as Wei Zhong, a 29 years old voice actor in China. Looking at his official profile online, he also voiced Kevin Kaslana in Honkai Impact. He also voiced characters in several short Original Net Anime (ONA) from China, such as Wan Jie Xian Zong. Qin Qiege was also in the Chinese dub of Cells at Work. He has his own Bilibili page as well.

In Japanese, miHoYo has already long announced Baizhu is voiced by Koji Yusa. Baizhu’s English voice actor was not officially confirmed yet.

miHoYo already officially confirmed Yae Miko is the next Genshin Impact character getting released, in Version 2.5. Meanwhile, leakers stated Ayato will be released in Version 2.6. Read the details with our past coverage.

This means Baizhu is still months ahead, but we’re definitely getting closer to his release. Lastly, seeing Baizhu’s release would mean Dendro is getting implemented, you shouldn’t expect it to happen until 3.0 at the earliest. As only a few Dendro Elemental Reaction names were data mined so far.
