Plainfield, July 30 - The Galyans-Dick's Sporting Goods merger officially went through Friday.

Thursday Dick's agreed to pay $16.75 per share for more than 18 million shares of Galyans stock.

As a result of the move the Galyans Plainfield headquarters is expected to close by January 31.
