Florence Pugh Debuted a Buzz Cut at the 2023 Met Gala

Florence Pugh debuted a daring new look for her Met Gala debut. The Don’t Worry Darling star graced the red carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 1, in an elaborate Valentino headpiece designed to showcase her freshly buzzed head. 

Pugh was named the new face of Valentino only last week—the fashion house’s effort to connect with a younger, edgier generation of customers. But clearly the brand partnership is going to be a fruitful one if the 2023 Met Gala red carpet is any indication. Rather than keep the rest of her look simple, Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli doubled down on the drama putting Pugh in a white strapless gown featuring a big black bow and an impossibly long train.
