Fairway Wood Question | Golf Monthly

I carry a 5, 7 and 9 wood adam tight lies (this are very shallow(if that is the right description ie is only about 50-60% size of the ball, so I feel it is easier to get the club on the bottom of the ball on a sweeping hit off the deck or very small orange tee off the tee), I never managed to hit woods of the deck before these)

I do not carry any irons over a 6 iron either.

Summer distances for the 5 wood would be about 185-190 carry, 7 wood 175-180 carry and 9 wood is about 165 carry, can get more if I wish by swinging harder. For information I hit a 7 iron 150 carry.

Love the higher flight on the woods and easier to hit than long irons, that I almost could not hit.

I would not be without my 7 wood.
