Now that it’s been a few weeks since the game’s release, we have quite a lot of people who have completed the game. That means that we are getting an in-depth insight into what players think about the game’s narrative and overall setting. While the overall setting of Elden Ring is being praised a lot, when it comes to the lore, many believe that it doesn’t live up to the likes of Bloodborne.

When it comes to Bloodborne, the game has probably one of the most complicated lores one would witness in the gaming industry as a whole. While it is pretty much synonymous with From Software games, Bloodborne is on a completely different level. However, if one puts in some effort and goes beyond what is available in the game, and reads up the lore guides on videos on the internet, they will understand the beauty of the game. It takes a while to complete the jigsaw, but it is undoubtedly one of the most epic stories in game history.

Speaking of Elden Ring, this game isn’t as complicated as Bloodborne. Although Bloodborne has done a great job in world-building, Elden Ring has done justice to the world which George R.R. Martin has built. He has built the entire world before the Shattering, and From Software has taken matters into their own hands from there.

The question remains, does Bloodborne have better lore than Elden Ring? Well, it is always difficult to compare two games from completely different universes, but Elden Ring has much more accessible lore. You will get pretty much a gist of the entire story if you play the game thoroughly, and wouldn’t need to refer to any Youtube videos or guides. That is something that Bloodborne lacks, and it has that sense of intrigue which From Software is known for. As a result, veteran Souls players believe that the lore of Elden Ring is lacking in certain aspects.
