Disney Dreamlight Valley gives all players free items after Premium Shop issue
Disney Dreamlight Valley's latest update brought with it a new in-game Premium Shop. After removing two bundles due to an issue, Gameloft is handing out all items from the removed bundles as compensation for all players. [updated]
Update: Gameloft has confirmed that "all players should have now received the appropriate mail in their in-game mailbox" — this mail being reimbursed Moonstones for players who bought the two removed Premium Shop bundles, and mail handing out all the items that had been included in the removed bundles, for free. You can only redeem this mail for a limited time, however: make sure to start up the game and redeem your mail before March 21st.Original story: The Festival of Friendship update is live now for Disney Dreamlight Valley — along with new characters, story content, and a new Star Path, the update also introduced the Premium Shop. This in-game shop is meant to feature exclusive items, but after an error caused two Premium Shop bundles to be removed, Gameloft plans to compensate all players with every item from the removed bundles.
Disney Dreamlight Valley to offer Premium Shop compensation
The pricing in this in-game Premium Shop — which, among other things, included the option to buy your own castle — has definitely met with a mixed response, due to the amount of Moonstones needed to buy its bundles. The Premium Shop is meant to feature exclusive items, but two bundles were recently made available which included items from Scrooge's shop. Gameloft has removed and replaced the bundles and has planned to offer reimbursement to those who bought them, as well as compensation to all players. The removed bundles seem to be the Scholarly Study Set and Celestial Book Nook bundles — if you bought these, you'll get an in-game mail reimbursing the Moonstones you spent on each bundle. All players, meanwhile, will get in-game mail giving them all the items that had been included in the removed bundles, for free.
Gameloft hasn't specified when this reimbursement will occur, but we'll keep an eye out and update you when we learn more.
In the meantime — Olaf and Mirabel were the new characters added in the latest update, but the fact that Olaf doesn't have a buildable house and Mirabel's house doesn't count as buildable, seems to tie into our hypothesis that Disney Dreamlight Valley's last achievement could take years to unlock.
