Details about Anamul Haque: Mohammad Anamul Haque Bijoy was born on the 16th of December 1992. Haque is a Bangladeshi cricket player. He plays the role of a wicket-keeper. Haque is an opening right-handed batsman. He is the first cricket player to score 1000 runs. Anamul made a record for the most runs in a single List-A tournament.

Anamul Haque is famous for playing eye-catching shots. Anamul belongs to Kushtia. He came up with his First-Class debut for the Dhaka division in 2008-09.

In 2009, he went to England with the Under-19 squad. He received the Man of the Match award in the Test against England. This Test was played in Chittagong in the 2009-10 season. He went on to score a fifty. He became the Captain of the Bangladesh team in the Under-19 World Cup. The U-19 World Cup was hosted in Australia. Haque Bijoy was the highest run-scorer for his country. He made hundreds twice. Haque Bijoy won the Man of the Match award.

Haque went on to make his ODI debut for Bangladesh against West Indies in 2012. In his second ODI match, he slammed a century. In the series against Sri Lanka, he scored fifty.

In the 2014 Asia Cup, he managed to score a century against Pakistan and fifty runs against India. He played a terrific series against Zimbabwe in Nov-Dec 2014.

Anamul Bijoy was the second highest scorer in the series. He made 200 runs in five games. This score included two fifties. He was selected for the ICC World Cup in 2015. His campaign soon came to an end. He suffered a grade 3 joint strain condition when he was in play against Scotland at Nelson. He took 6 weeks of rest.

In 2016, the BCB removed Anamul’s name from the list of contracted players for the 2017-18 season. The wicket-keeper batsman continued to churn out runs when he got selected in the Dhaka Division League.

Records and achievements

Anamul Bijoy is the first cricket player to score 1,000 or more runs in a single season of a List A cricket tournament.
